Mike Price's life is difficult to "timeline" but easy to summarize;

it is a life of comedy. As one reporter recently wrote, it is a life well-laughed.

Over fifty years ago, Mike began his career in New Orleans as a

stand-up comic in strip joints. The rest is comedy history.

He's performed with Lenny Bruce, Johnny Carson, Jim Varney, Pat Morita,

Rocky LaPorte and countless other great comics. He's been a highyly sought after comedy writer working on such shows as Bullwinkle, Laugh-In, Hollywood Squares, Cheers, Soap, The Tonight Show, Barney Miller, Murphy Brown,

M*A*S*H, Hee-Haw, Dean Martin Roasts, etc.

He rose the ranks of Hollywood to become Chief Comedy Consultant

for CBS Prime Time programming. Along the way he worked for

20th Century Fox, developed acts for top comedy headliners, hosted his own

TV show in Vegas, was on the editorial staff for Playboy Publications,

wrote humor articles for dozens of publications, and opened as a

stand-up for legendary performers such as Tony Bennett, Dizzy Gillespie

and others. At 77, he is still performing regularly and is often seen at

the Catch a Rising Star club in Reno.

Most importantly, for the last 25 years Mike has been passing on his secrets

through his comedy workshops and seminars. As well-known comic, Marc Ruben, states, "Mike's finest achievement is the work he's done in training comedians.

He's probably turned more people into headliners than anyone else on the planet."

In short, his life has been all about comedy:

his only task to "make 'em laugh,"

and there is, quite simply,

no better teacher of the "magic trick" anywhere.
